Deborah Barker Roye has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Cayman Islands law and legal procedure. Deborah is currently Counsel at Ogier and her areas of expertise include dispute resolution, particularly in the context of contentious trust and private client disputes as well as corporate and financial services disputes. Prior to joining Ogier she worked at the Truman Bodden Law School as the Deputy Director of Legal Studies.
She is the author of two leading practitioner text books on Cayman law, a member of the Criminal Justice Reform Committee and the Editorial Committee of the Cayman Islands Law Reports.
Ms. Barker Roye was appointed as a member on 29 October 2020. She was appointed as Interim Chairman on 17 September 2022 and served in this capacity until 28 October 2023.
